About Community Action of Nebraska
Community Action of Nebraska, Inc. (CAN)
A private, nonprofit corporation that works to raise awareness of community action in Nebraska, to coordinate communication between the state Community Services Block Grant administrator and the community action agencies, to provide training and programs, and to perform a number of other tasks related to the strengthening of community action in Nebraska.
Association of Nebraska Community Action Agencies (ANCAA)
A private, nonprofit corporation representing Nebraska's nine community action agencies. ANCAA strives to educate the public about the opportunities and benefits of community action, to support legislation that advances the efforts of the poor to achieve self-sufficiency, and to improve the efficiency and efficacy of community action in our state through training, coordination and other means. Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Administration -- Nebraska Health and Human Services System
The office that administers the federal grants that underpin community action programs across the state. The CSBG program administrator also provides expertise, oversight, and technical support to those involved in community action in Nebraska.
