About Community Action of Nebraska

 

Inspire Action. Create Change.

Community Action of Nebraska (CAN) is a nonprofit statewide association made up of Nebraska’s nine Community Action Agencies.

We focus on enhancing program development, facilitating training and technical assistance and leading advocacy efforts as the statewide voice for people experiencing poverty.

CAN is part of a national network of nonprofits consisting of over 1,000 Community Action Agencies, all “dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.”

Community Action of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, funded with public and private dollars.

We welcome the financial support of the many who support our mission.

There are over one thousand Community Action Agencies, state associations and national partners across the country addressing the causes and conditions of poverty through Community Action initiatives.
